A serious traffic accident has shut the A602 between Stevenage and Hitchin.
Both carriageways are shut with traffic chaos in the surrounding area after a collision between a car and a motorbike shortly before 12.30pm.
The motorcyclist is being transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
Kingshott School entrance is closed, as is the roundabout by the Blakemore Hotel.
An accident investigation is underway with the vehicles awaiting recovery.
