Four people – including a child – were injured in yesterday’s serious crash on the A505 near Royston.
Four ambulance crews, an ambulance officer, Hazardous Area Response Team, and the East Anglian Air Ambulance were sent to the scene at about 5.30pm.
A man and a woman – who had both suffered serious pelvis injuries – and a child with neck pain were all taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge by road.
Another man was taken to Stevenage’s Lister Hospital with a suspected fracture of the collarbone.
The fire service attended as two of the patients were trapped, and police closed the road between the McDonald’s roundabout and the A1198 roundabout until after midnight.
