The A505 was closed yesterday evening near Hitchin after a serious crash in Offley involving a vehicle and a pedestrian, and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Officers were called to the Luton Road stretch of the A505, between Luton and Hitchin, following the collision between a vehicle and a man at about 7pm. The road was closed afterwards.
Police have launched an appeal for witnesses and information following the crash.
A spokesperson said: “Officers are currently working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and are appealing for anyone who saw the man prior to the collision to please contact police.”
Anyone with information is asked to call the non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 651 of December 2.
