Fire crews had to rescue household pets after a blaze broke out at a house in Stevenage yesterday evening.
At about 7pm two fire engines from Stevenage went to the home in Alexander Gate.
Firefighters forced entry into the house and wore breathing apparatus as they fought the fire using hoses.
They rescued the family’s pets which were all unharmed.
No-one was inside the house at the time.
