A MAN is in hospital with head injuries after a road accident in Stevenage today (Wednesday).
The emergency services, including the East Anglia Air Ambulance, were scrambled to Shephall Way shortly before midday after reports of a pedestrian being hit by a pick-up truck.
Paramedics treated the 38-year-old at the scene. He was taken to Lister Hospital where he remains in a stable condition. The female driver was unhurt.
Police closed Shephall Way from the junction of Hydean Way to Broadhall Way as well as Broadhall Way until 1.45pm.
