A PEDESTRIAN collided with a motorbike on a cycle path this afternoon (Tuesday) in a crash which resulted in two women being taken to hospital.

The East of England Ambulance Service were alerted to the collision at the underpass behind Stevenage Library in the town centre at 12.24pm, with two ambulance crews from Stevenage attending the scene.

Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson, who attended the incident, said: “We believe a woman aged 52 was walking out of the Asda underpass towards the town centre when she was struck by a motorcycle.

“Both received slight injuries and following treatment and stabilisation by paramedics, they were both taken to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage.”
