One person was taken to hospital with facial and chest injuries this afternoon after a two-car crash at an accident blackspot on the edge of Stevenage.

Emergency services were called at about 3.10pm after two cars collided at the junction for Graveley Road and North Road.

The road was closed off and one patient was taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage with facial and chest injuries.

A spokesman added that their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

Graveley Road was shut after the crash but the Comet has been unable to get an update from police.
