A 21-YEAR-OLD man has sustained serious injuries after falling about 50ft from the roof of a hospital building.
Police were called by staff to Lister Hospital in Stevenage at about 4.50am on Saturday.
A spokesman for Herts Police said: “A patient had climbed onto the roof of a hospital building. As police officers arrived, the man from Bedford was seen to jump from the building. He fell approximately 50ft to the ground and sustained serious injuries. His condition is now described as stable and he is being transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.”
The Health and Safety Executive has been informed.
