Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a two-car crash in Stevenage this morning.

Police were called to Coreys Mill Lane at 7.44am, after reports of a crash between a black Vauxhall Astra and a grey Volkswagen Touran.

Firefighters were called due to smoke coming from one of the vehicles, and helped to make the scene safe. Nobody was trapped.

The road was briefly closed while both vehicles were recovered. Police said there were no injuries.
