A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital this morning after injuring his back in a crash near a Hitchin pub.
Police and the ambulance service were called just after 8.30am after reports of a collision near to The Angels pub in Bedford Road.
A motorcyclist – a man in his 20s – was treated at the scene by paramedics after injuring his back, and taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage as a precaution.
He was conscious and breathing, with an ambulance spokesman confirming that his injuries were not life-threatening.
A police spokeswoman confirmed no other vehicle was involved.
