A motorcyclist is in hospital after a crash on the A602 between Hitchin and Stevenage this morning.
The collision, involving a motorbike and a car, happened near the turn for St Ippolyts at about 8.20am.
An ambulance crew treated a man, described by a spokesman as in his 20s, at the scene for neck and leg pain.
The paramedics then took him to Stevenage’s Lister Hospital for further treatment.
The crash caused traffic on the road in both directions – back into Hitchin as well as all the way to Junction 8 of the A1(M) for those approaching from the Stevenage roundabout.
