A MOTORCYCLIST was rushed to hospital with head and leg injuries on Saturday night, after he was involved in a collision with a car.
The man, believed to be in his 40s, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge following the incident on Offley Road, Hitchin at around 10.30pm.
East of England Ambulance spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “Paramedics from Hitchin and Stevenage attended the scene after receiving a call to a motorcyclist found injured at 10.32pm.
“A man who we believe to be in his 40s received injuries to his head and legs and following treatment, stabilisation and immobilisation at the roadside, he was conveyed to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridgeshire.”
Police officers also attended the scene and closed the road as a precaution.
