A man is trapped in a vehicle on the A1M after a pile-up on the northbound carriageway between Welwyn and Stevenage.
Three fire crews, the ambulance service and police are at the scene around a mile from junction 7 with reports of one man trapped, suffering neck pain and bleeding from the head after a collision between four to five vehicles at around 3.30pm.
The vehicles include a white Ford Fiesta, silver Peugeot and silver Volvo.
The situation is ongoing, with no road closures in place at present.
