A pedestrian was taken to hospital with a head injury after being hit by a car in Stevenage yesterday evening.
Emergency crews and an air ambulance team rushed to Roebuck Gate after the crash at about 5.20pm, which involved a blue Fiat Punto.
The road was closed at the junctions with Broadwater Crescent and Hertford Road.
The pedestrian, a man described by paramedics as in his 60s, was treated for a head injury before being taken by ambulance to the town’s Lister Hospital for further treatment.
The car was recovered.
