A 24-year-old man is in hospital after suffering a head injury on a Stevenage building site this morning.
Paramedics rushed to the scene at about 9.50am after the incident on the second storey of the site at Chells Park, off Gresley Way, with Stevenage firefighters joining them shortly after 10.10am.
An ambulance service spokeswoman said: “Two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle attended and treated a man, believed to be in his 20s, who had sustained a suspected head injury after something is believed to have fallen on his head.”
The man was conscious and breathing. Firefighters helped get him to the ground, and the ambulance service took him in a stable condition to Stevenage’s Lister Hospital for further care.
