A MAN was taken to hospital yesterday (Sunday) after his car collided with a tree and flipped into a ditch.
Emergency services were alerted to the scene at Beech Hill, Lilley, around 10am, where the car was found upside down.
Ambulance crews treated the man and took him to hospital, while police shut the road. It remained closed for a further four hours.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, was taken to Lister Hospital and later transferred to Addenbrookes in Cambridge, with serious injuries.
