A MAN has been taken to hospital this afternoon (Monday) after the car he was driving overturned on a country lane.

Emergency services were called to Stevenage Road at about 2.20pm after reports that a red Vauxhall Astra had crashed on a bend and ended up on its roof about a mile from the village of Walkern.

It is the second time a car has overturned on the road in the last month after a 19-year-old woman escaped unhurt from her green Ford KA on June 28.
