A man in his 50s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene after an incident in Hitchin at the weekend that saw an air ambulance land.
Two ambulance crews, a rapid response vehicle and an East Anglian Air Ambulance were despatched to Hardy Close, off St Michael’s Road, at 2.18pm on Saturday.
A spokesman for the ambulance service today said paramedics there attended to a man in his 50s who was not conscious or breathing.
Despite the crews’ best efforts, he said, the man died at the scene.
