A fallen tree on the A1(M) between Junction 7 and 8 for Stevenage is causing delays this evening.

Lane one of the A1(M) was closed northbound between both junctions and causing tailbacks – which are not being helped by the ongoing roadworks at Junction 6 for Welwyn.

The lane has just reopened, but Highways England expect delays to continue for a while due to traffic backing up towards Junction 3.

Highways England will be tweeting updates here: twitter.com/HighwaysEAST.
