London North Eastern Railway are advising customers not to travel today following a problem between Peterborough and Stevenage.

Trains may be cancelled, delayed or revised for the rest of the day.

This incident seems to be affecting the LNER trains pantographs – the apparatus mounted on the roof of an electric train that collects power through contact with an overhead line.

This incident is directly impacting London North Eastern Railway services, however delays of up to 10 minutes can be expected on Thameslink and Great Northern services due to the congestion built up in the Finsbury Park and London King’s Cross area.

LNER customers may use their tickets dated for travel today, tomorrow. Alternatively you may be able to travel via a different service – for the full list and more information visit: greatnorthernrail.com.
