There were tailbacks on the northbound carriageway of the A1(M) last night after a car hit the central reservation.
Police and ambulance crews went to the accident near Junction 7 for Stevenage after a blue Ford Escort collided with the crash barrier shortly before 5.30pm.
The car was recovered to the hard shoulder and the female driver was uninjured.
