Police and ambulance crews have been called to A602 in Stevenage this afternoon after concern was raised for a 18-year-old woman’s welfare who suffered neck and back injuries.
The inside lane is blocked on Hitchin Road – as you head into Stevenage and opposite Sainbury’s Corey’s Mill supermarket – as emergency services deal with an incident near the underpass.
Police were called at 12.10pm amid concern for the 18-year-old woman’s welfare and remain on the scene with paramedics.
Update: It is not clear how the teenager sustained her injuries, but she was taken to Lister Hospital for further care. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
