A teenager was taken to the Lister hospital after a collision on London Road in Stevenage last night.

East of England Ambulance Service has confirmed the teenager suffered minor injuries in the crash involving two cars near the Tesco store at Broadwater at 5pm.

Herts police were also at the scene and confirmned a blue Vaxhall Tigra and another vehicle were in collision, causing traffic congestion in the area.

The northbound carriageway of the A1(M) was blocked yesterday evening between Junctions 6 and 7 after a two vehicle crash involving a silver Toyota Yaris and a maron Volvo at around 8pm.

Nobody was hurt but police report tailbacks as a result of the shunt.
