A woman in her 60s has been taken to hospital after a crash that caused Bancroft in Hitchin to be closed for about an hour.
The ambulance service and the police were called at 3pm and 3.03pm respectively following the collision between a car and the woman, who was a pedestrian, outside the Bancroft Youth Centre.
The road was closed while she was treated at the scene, and reopened at 4.09pm. The woman was taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage for further treatment.
