A road in Hitchin used as a cut through was shut this morning after a car overturned and ended up down an embankment.
Police were called to Willow Lane just after 8am after a silver Peugeot 406 estate heading towards A602 Park Way left the road, overturned and went down an embankment.
The road – which becomes Charlton Road further down and links the A505 with the A602 – was shut in both directions, but police left the scene at 8.35am.
The driver, a man, was not injured and was arranging his own recovery of his car.
