A woman was taken to hospital with a head injury after a two-car crash on the A602 in Hitchin on Saturday afternoon.
The crash, which happened on Park Way at about 2.20pm, involved a blue Ford Fiesta and a red Alfa Romeo Mito, both of which had to be recovered.
Police closed the road, and sand was used to soak up fluid that had leaked onto the carriageway. Officers reopened the road at 4.30pm.
