FOUR people were taken to hospital, after a late night road traffic collision on Saturday.

The incident happened just before 11pm, at the junction of Parkway and Charlton Road in Hitchin, when two cars collided.

Ambulance crews from Hitchin, Kempston, Letchworth GC and Stevenage attended the scene.

All four people were taken to Lister Hospital with minor injuries.

East of England Ambulance Service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “Three of the patients involved were placed on spinal boards as a precautionary measure and the fourth patient was walking wounded. All four were conveyed to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage for further care.”
