Firefighters were called to tackle a house fire in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).

Crews were called to attend a blaze at a two-storey terraced house on Bilberry Road in Clifton at around 12.15am, with the fire suspected to have been caused in the pantry.

Damage to the three-bedroom house was caused entirely by smoke, with 50% of the ground floor destroyed, as well as 25% of the adjoining property.

The fire was extinguished at around 2.25am and there were no casualties reported at the scene.
