The fire service is cutting a motorist out of her car after a crash on the B197 just outside Stevenage this morning – with the road closed in both directions.

Emergency crews were called to the junction of the B197 and Graveley Lane shortly after 8am, with two cars reported to be involved.

A fire service spokesman said two Stevenage fire crews are rescuing a woman trapped in a car using cutting equipment. The B197 remains closed in both directions.
