A road in the centre of Hitchin was shut earlier today as firefighters tackled a fire in the town.
Hermitage Road in Hitchin has now reopened after Herts Fire and Rescue attended the scene of a building fire in the town centre.
No injuries were reported and the road reopened earlier this afternoon.
Crews from Hitchin, Letchworth and Baldock, Stevenage and Welwyn Garden City attended.
