A woman in her 70s was taken to hospital after falling down an escalator in Stevenage town centre today.
A rapid response car and ambulance attended the incident at the Primark store in Town Square at about 10.30am.
The woman was said to have suffered multiple injuries, and was ‘conscious and breathing’ when she was taken to the Lister Hospital in a stable condition.
