A witness appeal has been launched following a car crash which left an elderly man in a critical condition.

Police are appealing for information after a blue Peugeot 207 collided with a parked Nissan Micra on Yarmouth Road in Stevenage.

It is believed the collision occurred on the evening of Friday, August 15, but was not discovered until the following morning when a man, who is in his 70s, was found seriously unwell at the wheel of the Peugeot. He was taken to Lister Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Anyone with information about what happened is asked to contact PC Helen Carpenter via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101.
