An elderly man is currently being treated for chest pains following a two car crash on a major road.
Emergency services are at the junction of Blakemore End Road, A602 Stevenage to Hitchin near Little Wymondley.
One lane has been shut after police were called at 4.40pm.
The fire service, which was called at 5.02pm, is also on en-route.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area.
