AN ELDERLY lady was rescued from her house and taken to hospital this afternoon (Tuesday), following a house fire.
Fire and ambulance crews attended Wisden Road in Stevenage about 2.30pm, following reports that a house was on fire.
An woman was rescued and taken to hospital, although the blaze was out when the fire crews, from Stevenage and Baldock, arrived.
The cause is being treated as accidental.
