A DRIVER has escaped unhurt after his car collided with a tree this morning (Tuesday).
An elderly man was travelling in a silver Ford Mondeo along Norton Road in Letchworth GC when it left the road, coming to a halt after colliding with a tree.
Emergency services were called at about 10.40am but the 82-year-old man did not require hospital treatment.
Part of Norton Road at the scene of the crash near Norton St Nicholas Primary School was closed by police but has since reopened.
