A driver was cut out of a car this morning after a crash in Woolmer Green which forced a road to close.
A black Audi A4 collided with a silver Sazuki Alto at about 9am at the junction of the B197 Mardley Hill and Mardleybury Road.
One person was trapped in a vehicle and had to be cut out by fire service crews for Welwyn and Stevenage.
The road was closed by Highways and reopened again by 10.20am.
Delays were caused to drivers passing through the village.
