Major road works at an accident blackspot will affect drivers for six weeks.
Safety engineering work on Verity Way, Stevenage starts on November 22 until January 6. This includes kerb realignment, resurfacing and improvements to the signage, road markings, drainage and street lighting.
The improvements are aimed at reducing casualties at what is considered an “injury collision location” by Herts County Council.
Stuart Pile, highways portfolio holder at County Hall, said some degree of disruption and delay is expected but the work was essential to improve safety. He urged drivers to allow extra time for their journeys.
