Heavy traffic has been building up on the A602 Hitchin Road after a collision near John Henry Newman School in Stevenage.
The road has been closed in both directions and police and ambulance crews are at the scene.
It is believed the crash has caused damage to a lampost.Update: Police have confirmed the collision was between two vehicles, both of which were damaged. No-one was injured and the road was cleared by 6.30pm.
