A car overturned on the A602 in Stevenage last night, with firefighters releasing a trapped person into the care of paramedics.
Both crews from Stevenage Fire Station’s Blue Watch rushed to the scene in Lytton Way, near the town’s police station, after the crash at about 9.20pm.
Police said a blue Vauxhall Corsa collided with the central reservation and overturned. The road was closed while emergency crews dealt with the incident and the vehicle was recovered.
An ambulance officer and crew treated a man in his 20s before taking him to the town’s Lister Hospital for further care.
