A lane of the A505 had to be closed between Hitchin and Luton this morning after a car crashed into a barrier, ending up on its side in the verge.
Emergency services were called to Beech Hill just after 9am following reports that a silver Vauxhall Corsa had been left on its side after colliding with a barrier while heading in the direction of Luton.
The woman driving the car received minor injuries and was taken to Luton and Dunstable Hospital by ambulance as a precaution.
One lane was closed while the Corsa was removed and the crash barrier repaired by Herts County Council’s highways team. It reopened by about 10.45am.
