A woman in her 40s and a teenager were taken to hospital on Friday after a car left in gear in Stotfold jumped forward when started and crashed into a garage.

The fire and ambulance services attended the incident in Trinity Road, which occurred at about 5.15pm.

The woman and the young man were treated for minor injuries to the head and the face respectively.

Both were taken to Stevenage’s Lister Hospital for further treatment.

Firefighters cordoned off the damaged structure pending further review by a structural engineer.
