TWO women have been hospitalised following a crash on a B road this morning (Tuesday), with one vehicle flipping over on its side and ending up in a ditch.
The emergency services were alerted to the B656 Hitchin to Codicote at the junction of Little Almshoe at around 8.50am, after a blue Mercedes and a green Volkswagen Golf collided at the crossroads.
Ambulance crews from Hitchin and Letchworth GC attended the scene, and police temporarily closed a section of the southbound side of London Road near the crossroads.
The B656 fully reopened at 10am.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “Two women, aged 38 and 55, sustained minor injuries. Both were treated by paramedics before being conveyed to Lister Hospital in Stevenage.”
