A man was taken to hospital last night after a collision in Stevenage with a vehicle that did not stop.
Police told the Comet this morning that they were called to Canterbury Way at 7.33pm by the ambulance service, after the collision involving a vehicle and a man described by police as in his 30s.
Paramedics an an Essex and Herts Air Ambulance attended, with the man treated at the scene before being taken to the town’s Lister Hospital by road ambulance. Police said his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
A spokesman for the Herts force said the vehicle involved did not stop at the scene after the crash, and that officers investigating the incident were working to trace the driver.
The road remained closed until about 9.45pm as emergency services worked at the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or events beforehand should call police on 101, quoting reference ISR 733 of August 15.
