A busy back road into Hitchin was partially blocked after a car overturned this morning.
Emergency services were alerted at about 9.10am to Willow Lane in Hitchin after a car overturned and ended up on its roof.
An ambulance crew assessed a patient at the scene but they did not require treatment.
The road – which turns into Charlton Road and connects with the A505 and A602 at Park Way – was partially blocked with police directing motorists heading in both directions, but the car was recovered a short time ago.
Police have since left the scene, but traffic has been heavy in the surrounding area as a result.
