Two teenage boys were injured, one seriously, in an early morning road traffic collision in Stevenage on Saturday.
The 14-year-olds were crossing Monkswood Way both on one BMX bicycle, when they were involved in a collision with a Ford Mondeo twenty metres south of the junction with Elder Way at 12.45am.
Paramedics treated the boys at the scene before taking them to Lister Hospital. One of the boys was transferred to a specialist neurological centre at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.
Officers from the Beds and Herts Collision Investigation Unit appealed for anyone with information about the incident to call Pc Antony Winter on 01438 757500.
