Firefighters tackled burning hedges on a road into Baldock this lunchtime after a car on fire left the carriageway.
Two engines from Baldock & Letchworth fire station attended the scene near the A505 roundabout in London Road, where the fire from the car had spread into the hedges, at about 1pm.
Crews used two hosereels to put out the fire by 1.45pm, with police assisting at the scene and briefly closing the road.
No injuries have been reported.
