The B655 is closed in both directions between Hitchin and Barton-le-Clay after a crash.
Herts County Council’s Highways department tweeted about the crash at 4.40pm. The road is closed between Hexton Road and Pegsdon Way, and Highways have said the road is “likely to remain closed for some time”.
The Comet is awaiting further details from the emergency services about the crash. Highways is urging motorists to seek an alternative route.
