Officers have today appealed for witnesses after a crash on the main road between Potton and Sandy in which a young father tragically lost his life.
The crash in Potton’s Sandy Road, at about 5.20am yesterday, involved a Vauxhall Astra and a lorry.
Emergency crews attended but the driver of the car, a Potton man in his 30s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed until about 3.30pm.
Sgt Richard Cruse said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with those who have lost their loved one.
“I’m appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact us on 101 to help us establish the circumstances.”
Anyone who saw the crash should call Bedfordshire Police on 101.
