All lanes open after A1(M) crash at Junction 6 for Welwyn sees two people taken to Stevenage’s Lister Hospital

All lanes are now open northbound following a multi-vehicle crash on the A1(M) this morning which saw two people taken to hospital.

Police believe a silver Mercedes C Class, a silver BMW 1 Series and a white Vauxhall Movana van were involved in the collision, which occurred at about 7.45am near Junction 6 for Welwyn and blocked one lane.

Two people were taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage, but it is not thought anyone has been seriously injured.

Police remain at the scene but all vehicles are now off the road, with traffic congestion beginning to ease.
