An air ambulance landed in Stevenage yesterday after reports that a man – who has since been taken to hospital – was unconscious.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance landed on grassland in the Fishers Green area after a man was said to be unconscious in nearby Aldebrugh Close at about 11.40am.

Working alongside a number of colleagues from the ambulance sevice, the man – in his late 20s – was stabilised and taken to Lister Hospital in the town by land ambulance.

The man was said to be in a stable condition at the time, but no further updates on his welfare are available.
